Effective September 1, 2025 , the former “Association of Overseas Chinese Food Professionals” will be officially transformed to the “Food & Bio International”.

This transformation signifies that the orgnization is breaking through the traditional boundaries of the food industry, shifting its focus from a single sector to a "food + biotechnology + pharmaceutical" model driven by innovative biotechnology. Simultaneously, the alliance will actively recruit professionals from the food, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical sectors, expanding its membership from working and studying Chinese individuals to include both working and studying Chinese and international professionals, welcoming outstanding talent and accelerating its transformation into a multi-faceted industry organization.
The Council stated that this strategic name change is based on the orgnization's practical needs in the context of integrated and innovative development within the food industry and the health and pharmaceutical industries, and fully reflects the orgnization's determination to continue its growth and development. After the transformation, the orgnization will leverage its existing resources and advantages accumulated since its inception, while effectively managing its existing members, to continuously expand its service scope and industry influence through in-depth industry research, sharing of workplace experience, and advice on overseas development.
The association was originally established with the aim of resource sharing, helping overseas food industry professionals to share industry information and accelerate their personal development. This name change and upgrade aims to better utilize the industry resources and networks accumulated over the past 7 years, building a platform for communication, exchange, and cooperation between Chinese and international professionals in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries and food industry practitioners, promoting development and win-win results through cross-sector collaboration.
